Belter
It was a really enjoyable night with some songs played superbly. They rattled through THB set at a fair pace which I think added to the atmosphere no end and give it an edge.
Highlights for me included IfWhiteAmercia... (that rhythm, so good), Die In The Summertime (always a fav of mine), PCP (which was just belting), 1985 (sounded divine) and Dreaming A City (sounded epic). Really enjoyed the sound of them as a three piece as well, was more raw and grittier. The low and loud sections as JDB's guitar changed really gave it a sonic resonance for me. All in all, amazing |

I've been lucky so far at gigs.. not had any trouble even tho some were fairly boistrous. At a couple they seemed very protective of the girls at the barrier getting knocked about yelling at the blokes behind to calm down

It wasn't the only video I took from Monday night. Look out for Ifwhiteamerica, Revol and P.C.P over the weekend ;-)

I'm still trying to get my head around and put into words what it was like being there on Monday. Didn't sink in what was about to happen until the audio sample for Yes fired up.
Genuinely overwhelming at points, Mausoleum and TIHOE sounded so oppressive and haunting and spiky. 4st 7lbs and This Is Yesterday pretty much floored me. Felt like I was in a daze during them. I'm so glad that they not only pulled this off but knocked it out of the fucking park. As some have already said, the atmosphere was perfect. No chat between the songs, it was how it needed to be. Loved Thatcher getting booed at the beginning of Ifwhiteamerica......too, I bloody love you Glasgow. I was best man at my mate's wedding the day before, this capped off pretty much a perfect weekend. |

My vids are up now. Some of them are spoiled by my poor singing, but not overly so!
Revol Ifwhiteamerica... P.C.P.
