One of my biggest annoyances: I WISH NICKY WOULD OPEN HIS BLOODY EYES WHEN HE'S TALKING!
He reckons it's because he 'thinks so deeply.'

Because it was interesting, and you wrote some of the finest songs of your career. You always kept us guessing, covered lot's of different ground stylistically and you never made the same album twice. I guess those days are over now eh?

I agree. There were a few things which irritated me about that interview. James is still cool though. I did love it when Nicky said "James has been here before..." - I bet he has.

It just makes him look rude. I'm not sure if having the sunglasses on indoors make it more or less annoying.

I sat down to watch this last night and bloody sky+ had failed yet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so angry about this as I was really looking forward to it. I know I can watch again BUT I wanted to be able to keep it.

Bloody, bloody annoying, don't suppose if anyone knows if it will be shown again? or if I can download it? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH

Why does it always successfully record stuff I don't really care about but miss stuff I really want?

Because it's shit, basically. But give Sky a call, they'll send out an engineer to help sort things out.

I watched it on 4OD. It's still available for a few days.

Someone can upload the documentary to the S&V topic? I live outside UK and it΄s impossible to watch the video on channel4 website or Youtube.

I rather enjoyed it. James came across really well and I've realised that I do still fancy Nicky! Agree about the eyes though - made him look a tad daft.

Twas a nice documentary, great clips of the guys and if it's meant to try and sell the album then the live footage of the new songs came out rather well, wouldn't act shocked if someone'd say that they were inspired to hear more after those few cuts. That said, the "there's two versions of this band and our peak period isn't a part of those and we'll ignore doing any of that from now on" [not quoted verbatim] bit made me want to tear hair off my head. And if the only way to please all the fans is to play longer sets, then do it...

Agreed, I can think of a few more versions

1) Dirty, trebly, in your face stuff
Sleepflower, most of THB

2) Electronic/asmospheric
Lifeblood, most of TIMTTMY, Miss Europa

3) Scuzzy/grotty, uncontrolled
Some of KYE, B-sides

4) Guitar and strings
From Despair to Where, EMG, SATT and Postcards

5) 80s metal post-punk
Generation Terrorists
