Or just ignore all the faffle like radio sessions and demos and just release a comprehensive b-side collection this time instead of a bizarre single-disc collection that comes with an additional disc of mostly throwaway covers.

(even though if they did that now we'd be talking about a boxset considering the amount of b-sides, but everyone loves boxsets!)

Ah it went top 5, didn't it? I'm not really sure how, considering I actually don't remember hearing it on the radio or seeing the video on tv at all at the time, didn't hear it until I bought it. Same goes for The Love Of Richard Nixon . Suppose it was just before an arena tour, tonnes of people would've bought it because it's a Manics single, just like The Love Of Richard Nixon

If it's going to be a post-FD Greatest Hits rather than a Best Of, they're not leaving themselves a lot to choose from. No singles from their best album of the period, too. Thought they might've tried to put Judge Y'rself out Forever Delayed out as singles around the time too, but nah. If it's just material after 2002, they'll be preaching to the converted. Think it needs to be a double cd and include a few non-singles in it.

I can't see why TBTGOG would be included on a new GH compilation, seeing as this was the new track on the FD compilation.

I can't see why there'd be a Greatest Hits of just LB, SATT, JFPL and PFAYM. If the sets are anything to go by, that stuff only made just short of a quarter of it in Wolves. The only thing in that time that's really been a radio hit has been Your Love Alone.

Sales wise, I think it'd bomb if it only had stuff since FD on it, but if they make it a double cd and stick about half of FD on it and include stuff that didn't make that like Roses, She Is Suffering, Found That Soul, Stay Beautiful and top it up with stuff since (and hopefully a couple of new tracks) it'd do better.

If it is included, regardless of the fact it was one of two new tracks on 'Forever Delayed', it was also the single to promote it. Greatest Hits compilations gave a tendency to refer mainly to singles hence it's probable inclusion?

People are being a bit too optimistic in here, I think!

- One cd. (Maybe a special edition with remixes)
- 18 -20 Tracks.
- 2 new songs.
- Their biggest commercial hits.
- Jackie Collins.
- One Lifeblood.
- One Know Your Enemy.
- One Holy Bible.

They want at least 2 JFPL tracks on it to make up for the lack of them on the recent tour!

I’m just not bothered. I don’t even own Forever Delayed – because it’s shit. It would have to be pretty special for me to buy a Greatest hits of theirs considering I’ll own everything anyway, bar a couple of token new songs tacked on the end.

And I don't know if I'd be bothered about a GH tour having been to the gig on saturday with THAT marvellous set list... Depends on the venue though. And three gigs in a year may Manics me out.

Is it possible to get Manicsed-out though?! Is there such a thing as too much Manics?!

True, but if it's the record label's idea then who knows?
