You need to queue to get the wristband itself in the morning when the shop opens though, as there are only a limited number available. The signing/instore itself doesn't happen until later in the day, when they've (hopefully) given out all the wristbands. I suppose it avoids hassle later on in the day when there's a queue bigger than capacity waiting outside trying to get in.

If it's anything like the lipstick traces signing at the same HMV in Manchester it'll be pretty easy to get wristbands. I accidently ended up with 3 because the person serving me couldn't be bothered to seperate them properly.

I might be staying the night before in Cardiff now, really hoping I get a wristband! What time in the morning do you think I'd need to get there?

I can't go to any of the signings, seeing as I am not allowed to have the last day of the month off at work. Seeing as I've met the boys 3 times already this year, I am not too fussed if I miss this.

I went to the Brum signing in '03, which was really great (I'd not met the band much then). This was a no wristband affair. The only other signing I have been to involved a live performance, so this was a wristband jobby. People double overnight queued for it. I got to the store at 7am on the day of the signing (the earliest I could get there) and got one of the last wristbands. Once the wristbands had been given out, we were told to go away for a little while, then return to queue for the performance & signing.
