Should they play Yes, I'd probably jump off the nearest bridge because I'mm pretty sure that I won't be there.

Fingers crossed for Nobody Loved You. They've hardly ever played live have they? That's one that would benefit from having a second live guitarist, which they didn't have last time they played it.

If you go to Festival No6 website there is a picture of the Manics and a nice piece saying why they are doing the festival. Sounds like they are looking forward to it.

I'd expect maybe an odd new song and something nice, but who knows....but after all, this is a band who rarely pull out much for their own gigs

Elvis Impersonator: Blackpool Pier was their opener for the Isle of Wight.

They'll play two new songs, two rarities (at least one of which will be from TIMT) and the usual standards. Which is fair enough. Anything more interesting than that is above and beyond what the occasion requires.

True but then Die in the Summertime wasn't even on Lipstick Traces, so I wouldn't say that was massively expected either; they could easily have just stuck to tracks on the album they were promoting at the time.

Tbh I'm not really expecting much beyond a couple of new songs and maybe the odd slightly rarer Truth track beyond the usual singles played from that album. But that's fine by me, I just want to see them live again really; the NT gig seems forever ago now.

Thought about going last year, but apart from the manics this years line-up isn't up to much.

The place itself looks lovely though.

As for the manics at festivals, besides Reading 01 and Witnness 03 anytime I've caught them after those appearances, the set has been poor enough. Back then they were bigger and had the confidence to throw in a Archives Of Pain or Die In The Summertime.

Still no confirmation if they're playing the Sunday or not? My parents said they'd buy me a ticket because it's my birthday a week or so later

The Manics' Facebook page did confirm Sunday for a full five minutes before it was deleted. I've booked a ticket and am living in hope.
