Ok, so there is a proper album. And...new MSP album in August? I didn't see it coming that early...

Ooooh, so I read it as next August, so 2024? Hope I'm wrong haha

They do say next August so I think 2024 is right. Seems a long time if they already have 12 tracks but perhaps they aren't all good! It ties in with the Glastonbury interview where they said that they have a collection of songs but haven't yet got an album.

More details on exactly when Intimism will be out would be good but it feels like it is getting close finally

Well, next August should be 2023 (it isn't August yet, previous August was 2022 so next August should be 2023), but it's quite early, given the fact that there has been no announcement, no first single, no pre-order, so it should be 2024.
Anyway, it's weird to predict an exact month 14 months in advance...I mean, I could understand "next summer", which is quite generic, but "next August"...I don't know what to think.

It's weird, but maybe I'm more excited by Intimism than the new Manics album. IKTZ grew on me, I'm a Nicky fan and I can't wait to hear it.
(Manics are my favourite band ever, anyway)

I would call August 2023 "this august" and "next august" 2024
I know Nicky's solo isn't a big release but wouldn't think they'd release both so close together

I agree with you (about two close releases), but, at least in Italian, I'd say "this August" and "next August" for 2023, and "the August of next year" for 2024. Anyway I agree with you.

Great! There is almost too much Wire news to digest at the moment. Yes have just listened to the Huw Stephens show from last night and he confirms the release as sometime next week. He also played about 5 tracks from the album so best to skip those of you are avoiding spoilers
