Yeah but when you see the number one, it kinda invalidates everything else!

It is FAR too soon to be "ranking albums" again, the record isn't even out yet and even if you've heard it 10 times you aren't in a position to judge.

Will it stand the test of time, possibly not...is it a good record, yeah it's great! Is it better than their other albums...ask me in a few years, see if it's still in the rotation for the car.

Oh, what the heck:
1. Journal for Plague Lovers
2. This Is My Truth, Tell My Yours
3. The Holy Bible
4. Generation Terrorists
5. Lifeblood
6. Know Your Enemy
7. Postcards From A Young Man
8. Gold Against The Soul
9. Everything Must Go

But then, if you noticed all the lists I've made, they're all probably inconsistent, which shows I make them on a whim.

Edit: LOL, I forgot Send Away The Tigers, can we keep it like that?

if you don't mind me asking, if you have invested so much in the album, why would you want to listen to (presumably) shit quality rips of it first? i recall someone having tickets to an IMAX showing of The Dark Knight, yet the week before they insisted on watching a shitty camcorder copy of the film.

don't forget their excellent range of DVD players & Playstations which save you the trouble of ever thinking of playing a disc from another country on them.

it's a small wonder Sony have yet to collect a Nobel prize, is it not?

My friend wanted to come along with me to the Manics gig at Brixton on the 29th and asked if I could send him a taster of a few tracks from each album (converting him). He had heard a lot of their early stuff but not their recent stuff. I sent him over a few tracks from each album, avoiding sending over just the singles. It was only after I had done it that I realised I had left out SATT. Intentional? You decide.

I'm not sure about 9 and 10. PFAYM is dull and a bit sickmaking; SATT is just painful. Which is worse? Not sure.

Out of curiosity! I always listen to new music/96kbps myspace clips and demos of new songs/artists, so most first listens usually are rubbish quality. I've been an avid fan since You Love Us (Columbia) was released & purchased everything I can of the group, I listen to leaks but insist on never sharing them. I'm a DJ also, so do always wish to hear things ASAP
