Ok, the album is very memorable and once again they've managed to do something different yet so very Manics.

I have a few minor complaints. Firstly, it's definitely in the wrong order, I'll have a fiddle and find a tracklisting that suits me better. Secondly, I don't like how obvious it is that each song is made up of different vocal takes. Lastly, those big multiple voiced chroruses.

Nicky's demo of Divine Youth is much better than the album version. Swapsies.

Ah! Now it's up on Spotify! Must resist... it could be tomorrow... But I suppose the extra tracks on the deluxe won't hurt!

Got my unsigned deluxe copy and T-shirt from Myplay today. Annoyed that the spine on the deluxe copy is bent and the quality of the image on the shirt is very poor - don't know if that's the same for anybody else?

Very good album on the first listen of disc 1.

Why resist? It's not a competition.

I'm still loving this after at least 25 listens.
To me it's a cross between the best bits of Lifeblood and KYE - which makes it superb
Glad it wasn't a knee jerk reaction to rate it so highly

If anyone likes Lifeblood they really should be loving this - it's almost like a part 2 in my opinion.
I'm taking it as the band actually were listening to those of us who scolded them for dissing Lifeblood! Let me think that anyway

Just landed on my doormat Will give it a couple listens before I 'review' it. Hopefully everyone who is still waiting gets it asap!

Thankfully the condition of mine was fine but I'm sure they'd replace it if you wanted deadmartyr? I know they're signed and obviously there's a limited number but there must be some sort of contingency for those who receive theirs in bad condition? You'd hope anyway.

Popcorn :-D :-D

I've done my bit:
Been playing the album at my Boxing gym and one of my lads has just come up and said "is this the new Manics album?" I then went on about how amazing they are when he said "I'm not a fan..." My face dropped but then he said "but this is fucking pukka - I'm gonna get tho one"
Anyway I thought it was worth telling you

I love the album and i im again surprised on how the manics are cappable to do something completely different from they ve previously done! It was supposed to be a holy bible from this century but i see the album like a more optimistic and adrenalinic son of lifeblood which is awesome. My only complain is the order of the songs...i think the first half of the album is far more interesting and ear friendly than the second half but maybe this issue changes with further listens.

agreed. I think the order lets it down just a tad. lost count how many times ive played this over in work today already. totally getting no work done either.
