I hadn't noticed they'd been doing this until now - fair play to them, perhaps they've not been quite as conservative as I'd assumed.

But I think we all know what no new songs means: they've exhausted their arsenal of rehearsed songs. Prove me wrong Manics, please!

And why on earth would Yes disappear so quickly?

The difference between Manchester and today is not that big, I guess two songs can shake up a set...Yes and Sleepflower gave it a different feel.

To make it more of a treat? I'm guessing Manc was the practise run and maybe London (god I hope so) the gig to have it brought back out? They wouldn't in a million years bother to relearn it just for one gig, don't panic.

It really does. Manchester's set looked great, this one looks as mediocre as most of the tour has been. That's a bit sad, considering the only JFPL song is back in for Yes. Surely JCEQT isn't going to start being a song to be feared rather than looked forward to some day?

Probably. One thing is for sure, we're not getting any more new songs on this tour - I really can't see them suddenly pulling one out of the bag this late.

To put that in context, Killing Joke also released a 12 song album last month (their 13th studio album in 30 years). They played 7 new songs last night in Edinburgh, and I know for a fact they've played at least 11 of them overall on their tour. They missed out two of my favourites from the album, and yet it was still an extremely satisfying gig (although in fairness it was pretty hard for them to pick any disappointing songs from it, because their album is one of the best of their career, which is not something I think many people would say about PFAYM...)

Well, that was a strange gig. Good, but strange. The crowd seemed rather subdued until Motown Junk. Also, they left pretty much left straight away (we're getting food already - it feels loads later than it is). Not sure why other than the club night being on.

Good to have some different songs to Edinburgh but Australia would have been nice. No complaints other than the usual.

I bet we still get australia, maybe the everlasting, it's so easy and one or two more, but agreed the chance of new pfaym songs seems pretty low now.
