Totally agree! I think the song is about being at ease with yourself.

From the official site:

Nicky: “I suppose the question here is, are you only truly yourself when you’re alone. It’s a philosophical question and one to which I don’t have the answer. But this is just a song about simplicity and the joy of coffee and magazines and a big comfy bed."

Well I can't wait to hear the album myself and post my own thoughts.
But I am very heartened to see my favourite Manics albums in everyone's bottom 10!

I genuinely hate Hazelton Avenue though... Like VSEC, it will never work for me. My sister even predicted I would before I had told her what I thought of it, I'm not sure how.

SKON manages to be uplifting, melancholic, epic and simple ALL at the same time. It's magical.

I absolutely love I Think I've Found It. The melodies and riffs are spot on.

Oh good god, no! I am still finding it very hard to judge this album. (I haven't even listened to it today yet ) But the one opinion I do have is that I Think I've Found It is one of the shittest songs they've ever recorded. It's the Emily of this record!
Oh and also SKON is really really amazing.

Ah, but I love Emily, so that doesn't validate your point to me.

OK, I've decided Hazleton Avenue sounds like the theme tune to a rubbish late 70s/early 80s soap opera.

It is a bit Brookside

But I love it. Sounds genuinly and sincerely whistful.

Haha! I don't HATE Hazleton Avenue. It's alright in an average sort of way. I mean I'm sorry but how people can despise that most ferociously out of the lot when I Think I've Found It exists?
AND I've just listened to it to cement my opinion, and ensure I'm not judging it too harshly, and seriously it sounds like The Corrs or something. And I don't even mind some of their songs, so it's like a shitter version of a Corrs song. Which surely has to be bad right?

I Think I Found It just turns into I Think I Forgot How It Sounds, to me. Hazelton is like a mix of tunes from The Great Western, after being slowed down and made into mush.

I think I've found it grows on you after a while, Don't Be Evil however...ending an album with that shows really poor judgment imho.
