so, this isn't very good.

with the other 'not very good' ones, though, i felt disappointed at least. certain amount of resignation with this one.

After my first few listens, this is just dull.
It's as if they thought "let's just rewrite SATT but overkill it with strings and make it pointlessly camp."
I'm not expecting them to deny their huge arena rock tendencies, that's when they're often at their best, but this is just too much. If the songs were there to back it up, I'd understand, but I don't. I thought they'd been back on form in recent years. Very disappointing. Where do they go from here?

I can't listen to this album. Not because it's crap or anything. Just because I can't stop listening to Some Kind of Nothingness.

I tried to listen to it last night but I couldn't resist banging out Some Kind of Nothingness about 47 times.
