David Bowie's 12th was "Heroes", so it's possibly not even the best 12th album recorded at Hansa Studios.

You guys will probably kill me for this, but... can't resist! Nicky shouting "Mayakovsky" - does that remind you of anything? No? Well...

And sorry, I'm not hearing Seven Nation Army in "Mayakovsky". I am however hearing a slight take on the bass line to Kraftwerk's "The Model" though!

Quote:
Then the residents of the surrounding area complained and it turns out Croke Park is only allowed a certain amount of gigs a year. So after much delay and MUCH media coverage, the council only allowed three gigs to go ahead. THEN Garth Brooks said he would either do all five, or none at all. So they were cancelled! Meaning everyone has to get a refund! BUT THEN yesterday Garth Brooks held a live press conference on his website appealing to the Irish government to let him play. Saying shit like "When I think of Ireland... I think of love" So now our prime minister has stepped in. And some Garth Brooks fans have called on Obama to try and sort out the gigs. Also, the Mexican ambassador wants to help. It's hilarious, and also very sad. Last edited by MoMoney MoJunk; 11-07-2014 at 18:38. |

about the album - I really love futurology i think its a great direction from the band and shows they can still be different there are some stand out tracks such as Black Square and Between the clock and the bed the only downside is that empty motorcade was left from the album but a solid 9/10 from me on this album

country singer who's shows were more like rock shows. Famous over here for five minutes in the 90s i think.

I'm really impressed by this album. It has a great sense of energy and rhythm, solid songwriting and plenty of interesting sounds going on that keep it feeling fresh and vital on repeat listens. Might just be my favourite 21st century Manics album!
Favourite tracks: Divine Youth, Europa, Dreaming a City, Black Square, The Last Time I Saw Paris (should've been on one of the albums!)
