I dunno... I think the phrase just irritated me. There's definitely something slightly pretty about the other half of the stage as well

I think for the next tour the aim should be to be more imaginative with the sax and get solos in songs you wouldn't expect them (Kevin Carter and Ocean Spray are too obvious) I want the kind of imagination that lead to the great Die in the Summertime gong solo.
How about the bass line from archives of pain performed on the baritone sax? Honk honk honk honk honk honk honk- honk honk honk- honk honk honk...

I saw a guy playing a sitar yesterday that was the size of himself (and even more fierce than the monster in the picture). I feel it would add a whole new dimension to Faster.

I am stronger than Harrison, Jones and Ravi Shankar..

Actually that would be awesome! You just know Jim could play it if he wanted to.

If we're going with instrument changes I would love to see Sean give up the drums entirely and just jump around the stage excitedly, playing a cowbell.

Never mind the Manics article, read the Bradford Cox 'interview'. It's possibly the worst thing ever. Badly conducted, Cox is an absolute moron and the standard of the write up would be laughable if it was from a school paper.

Nope, now we know that will never happen.

It was a possibility. But then you put in the word 'excitedly' and dashed my hopes, confirming it would never be reality.

Well if I can make outlandish wishes of what I want to see, surely I should go the whole hog. I mean, when I think to myself that I want to see a dog fly I don't then go, "oh and I want his name to be 'Satan's Bitch'. Oh wait, nobody sane would ever name their dog that, better just stick to the flying then."

Destroyed my initial point and made me laugh in the process. Respect to you.

well i scanned the little piccies yesterday at t'library... their scanner is not the best and they WERE very small pics!

I know Nicky has never had the best makeup skills but you'd think he could shave if he's gonna wear excessive eye makeup. And foam applicators? Get to the nearest MAC and buy some decent brushes you old skinflint!

Great to see another Manics article BUT not sure about it really. I thought the pics were a bit crap and I was bothered by the "inherent fagginess" comment too...

The best bit were Nicky's bitchy comments and the fact that James said see you in 2 years. Surely that means a UK tour as well. Two years isnt that far off so I'm happy.

Thanks for these! Haha, I see myself in the photo with the fans! The article does indeed suck, but oh well. It's just nice that they decided to cover the US tour at all.

Ahahaha! I remember those days when it was newsprint tabloid format! Think I still have quite a few stashed away somewhere still. For such a well-read music paper, it always looked like a cheap quaily free daily paper rather than a music mag.

As for content, well I've personally never been impressed by their coverage or many of the bands they got behind. They lambasted Radiohead in the early days (seriously went to town on how "ugly" Thom Yorke was) yet promoted the hell out of bands like Shed 7 for example. It was always a slight step up from teen-bopper magazines for me except it generally catered to the alternative crowd. However, that's just my impressions of the magazine as a non-UK resident. It might be a completely different reading experience for those of you in the UK though.
