30-year war is growing on me. It's kinda catchy.

With SMTW the overblown-ness would get Jeff Lynne's approval I'm sure!

Apparently James both put the bass on 4LR, and wrote the words to AFALC.

I really like AFALC - a JDB written gem like I Think I Found It on Postcards! (ELO is haunting this record!)

The packaging is just absolutely 'Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!' as well!

I'm on ROOF now, just going into Manorbier. Loving it so far (Manorbier's intro reminds me of BoC, what say you Stu?)

Manorbier's gorgeous. Love the theramin and the build up to it. That was the one track I was worried about. Thought it might get in the way but it hasn't at all.

Manorbier intro reminds me of Dayvan Cowboy by Boards Of Canada. Wonder if Stu hears it too or if it's just me! Intro to 30YW made me think of Flashdance ( What A Feeling!) ever so briefly there!

I know what you're saying, it's got a touch of their creepy atmospherics in it certainly, but then the whistling-on-the-schoolbus theremin comes in and buggers it all up!

Hmm interesting, well I'm not surprised about the bass, and the words are sadly pretty uninspiring whoever was responsible.

Tedious petulant little melody, sounds like "Ner-ner-nuh-nerrr! Ner-ner-nuh-nerrr!" or "Get on-your-nerves, get on-your-nerves". Just bad, and repeated about 40,000 times.
