I thought James sounded fine? The song is a complete throwaway anyway - it'll be played over the next few weeks and then become an obscurity. It's not as if Wales are actually going to win the Euros.

Pleasant enough. Not as terrible as I thought it could of been.
But... That chorus is a rewrite of "Maria" by Blondie and once you notice, you can't unnotice!

It's like virtually all other football songs really, excrutiatingly awful. Shame the Manics are involved with it but an obvious choice for the Welsh side and it gives therm a bit of publicity.

I like the music but I would have preferred less-specific lyrics in terms of the current players, will date very fast and limits future re-play potential. Unless Wales actually go and win the tournament or something. Nice line about Gary Speed. It's probably better if you support Wales I guess!

I read this before having heard Together Stronger and thought '...a likely story!'

But yes, I totally agree.

I have to laugh at the shoehorning of Hal Robson-Kanu

Funny but it's fun it's not supposed to be the second coming of the Holy Bible, plus it doesn't slag off the internet once.

As I feared it sounds like one of the shite tracks from Postcards with lazy over used strings and cringe worthy lyrics.

I'm not into football or any other sport but I like the song and the video. Manics didn't disappoint!

I liked it...although yeah namechecking current footballers means it has limited lifespan.

Surely the end chant could be interchangable to keep it relevant. It's only really relevant for as long as Wales stay in the competition. It is a throw-away song.

It's a song about Wales and their 2016 campaign, I don't personally see why it wouldn't name check current player? Anyway be nice to see it chart well

Yeah, it's not like Wales will ever qualify for anything again.

Give us another 50 years. By the looks of things, the Manics will still be going, flogging the EMG 70th Anniversary Implant, which allows you to plug a 'rare early demo' of Mr Carbohydrate directly into your brain.
