Less it's just for a quiet acoustic interlude and a cuppa to get the breath back in the middle. I suppose

And now we've come full circle Course I'm a scatterbrained rambler, spent most my life feeling like a directionless misfit too. Just like a certain band I suppose... Maybe not knowing our right from left isn't such a bad thing, music sounds more joyous than the lyrics at least.

This has been the weirdest thread on here in a long time.

Distant Colours is a great song. Better than any "second single" since Empty Souls.

Anyway, is Distant Colours getting airplay on British radio? International Blue was played twice on one Belgian radio station, no a single sign of Distant Colours here.

They got a play of both on Radio X yesterday.

Distant Colours is just entering the 'grower' phase for me, after initially disliking it, here I am humming it and tapping my foot again. Bastards.

It's on BBC Radio 6's A List too, for now at least.

They are really spoiling us.

You can hear the intricacies in the songwriting - and the great guitar parts - in the acoustic version.

Yeah, it certainly brings them out - there are some great little guitar bits going on in all three songs so far IMHO, easy to miss if you just hear it on the radio or are watching on laptop or smartphone speakers or whatever...

Can’t wait for this album!

Still really like this one. Trying not to listen to any of them too much so as not to wear a third of the album out before the whole thing drops but feel like putting this one on every now and then.

Distant Colours (Live Acoustic) is so beautiful! Dylan & Caitlin (Live Acoustic) is yawnfest, but original is so damn good!

Finding the mid section in Distant Lovers a bit odd, but otherwise a strong showing from the front 3 songs. Good old MSP.

Best track out of the three for me, without a doubt. Chorus is absolute gold - probably just as good in acoustic form (the Absolute Radio session version was also brilliant). IB is my 2nd fav with the other one definitely in 3rd place - even that's a decent song.

Finally got a listen of the acoustic version.

Well, it's much better. Really quite lovely, actually. Makes me wish they'd done a Small Black Flowers take on Distant Colours for the album track - mainly acoustic, with a bit of strings perhaps.

What a difference these versions make.

Distant Colours is easily the stand out for me of the tracks released so far;

1. Distant Colours
2. International Blue
3. Dylan & Caitlin (acoustic)
4. Distant Colours (acoustic)
5. Dylan & Caitlin
6. International Blue (Bluer Skies)
