Looking forward to this!!

Eating at GBK in the o2 before the gig, hoping some decent Tshirts will be on sale... and going to have a mega sing song to all the singles...

Its going to be good - apart from I have my obligitary "Manics Cold" which I always get prior to gigs.

The possibly horrible weather and the fact it will be cold inside the venue makes me feel not too bad about giving this one a miss!

(I'm pretty much resigned to it now, as I hadn't been planning to go anyway)

Anyways, have fun all and everyone must bounce in unison to You Stole The Sun and Autumnsong OR ELSE!!!

Hi! Two questions:
1. after the door opening, will be there anyway a queue (due to slow entrance)? Or can I go to the O2 just at 7 PM without having any trouble?
2. are the restaurants (and fast foods) inside O2 more expensive than the ones outside? Is it better to eat outside, before the gig, or to buy something inside?
Thanks!

I've asked someone if they can pick up a t-shirt for me (preferably the NT cover pic or the pic that's on the vinyl sleeve - depending on what merch is available!). So I won't feel too left out if I can't make it!

The restaurants inside will be expensive. They're all like your classic nice chain places, so if you're low on cash maybe better to eat elsewhere.

Seeing that the gig ends around 11pm, and the last tube-train heading West departs at 11.23pm, I guess it could be a problem catching that train home with 15.000 people exiting the O2 simultaneously??

Given the size of the venue and the fact it's nearly sold out, I would expect there to be queues to get in at doors once they're open; not everyone likes to queue really early afterall, especially those who have seats. There are separate entrances for the seats to the standing area though. As long as you don't arrive about 2 minutes before they're due on, I'm sure there'll be plenty of time to get in.

Hmm, indeed. (haven't thought of that)
What do experienced 'Londoniens' recommend to us?

We want to go Hammersmith, to the aftergig-thingie. And after that we have to get to the North, in the neighbourhoud of St-Pancras.

When I went to see R.E.M. at the Twickenham Stadium, there were free buses waiting for us at the exit of the stadium. Dunno if it helps...

I just put in North Greenwich-Waterloo as a test example of a westbound journey and the last tube from North Greenwich without engineering works is 00:17: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/use...12-13T14:51:47

depending where you are going, Depends whether you will get home....

I have been to the o2 3 times, I got stuck in London overnight the first time, leaving just after 11pm, due to the mass crowding/police at the tube station (Nothing had happened just limiting people going in)

and after that I have left at 10.45pm, when a lot of people also seem to leave, but managed to get home.

Getting a lift from the o2 on Saturday...so don't have to worry!

Well yes obviously But that's using the Jubilee line and goes westbound into central London; the O2 is only serviced by the Jubilee line, so even if you can't get all the way to your destination, you should be able to get into central London easily enough.

The only time I've had problems was for the first year of the tennis at the O2 in 2009 and the Jubilee line was suspended and they stopped the boats at 10pm, when the tennis didn't finish until gone 11pm. We got a bus to Canning Town and still made it back to our hotel fine.
