I would like to be optimistic, since some people are saying he is a good writer, but the description of the pink cover is still making me cringe.

It made me cringe too.

The book wasn't so cringe-worthy, imo, just boring. I'm not too bothered to finish reading it all the way through, at the moment.

Review on Richard will appear on A Future in Noise on August 20th, I'll link it here when that happens, interview coming September 20th.

Manics Fans Interview Ben Myers (Part I): http://cultofrichey.com/2010/08/15/m...-myers-part-i/

Please comment on the site itself if you're replying to the interview, even if you have to double comment here AND on the site. I'd like Ben to be able to read all comments (good or bad) easily from one source, as well as for other readers of the site who aren't members of FD. Thanks!

My book review will be posted sometime in September.

I will be gathering questions for the second interview sometime after the book's release in October--from those who have read it, obviously--so keep an eye out for that if you're interested in participating.

I’ve actually liked them so long that I used to get refused entry to their shows circa 1991 for being underage. ‘Suicide Alley’ was on repeat play while I was studying for exams at school, The Holy Bible was the soundtrack to many an introspective night when I went to university.

I didn't realize he was a fan of the band at all. I don't know what this makes me think about the book...interesting...
