Where exactly did they do these signings and photo's? I was actually gutted they didn't come out tonight and having missed them at Derby cos I didn't get out of the venue quick enough, I left the venue tonight during Tsunami just to make sure. They got straight on the bus and venue manager came out to say they wouldn't be coming out. I was there till the bus drove off. So if I missed them because they were somewhere else I'm well PISSED OFF.

but at least sing along and put your hands in the air? if your at the barrier you know what to expect, surely?

how do you know they werent singing? Did they not applaud at the end of the songs? I'm positive everyone of the people on the barrier enjoyed the gig in their own way.

The crowd were strange tonight. I was 2nd row, my friend in the middle. We both said how subdued people around us were. James said "first time in Lincoln" I think it will probably be their last.

I was 2nd row right infront of the big speakers Nicky's side the crowd wasn't your typical crowd really (or at least the atmosphere suggested that to me) safe set list and 1/2 expected that to be honest , overall though can't fault the band as tight as ever gave there all..

Hi Rob, sorry I missed you tonight, I was same position as you but on James' side. Cheryl said she'd seen you. As I said in earlier post, you didn't drive off and miss them. They didn't come out at all!! They were on top form, but the crowd just weren't very responsive. Think they must've thought sod em we'll have an early night. Just hope they are in a better mood for Leics, my last one unless I can get a ticket for B'ham.

When the tour dates were announced I was so please to see the Manics dates to come to Hull and Lincoln. The Engine Shed is a nice venue for Lincoln, which means at last we are able to have bands come here. The problem is though the sound isn't always good there and some bands have sounded awful there. So I was concerned that this might not be the best venue for the Manics.

Thankfully I was wrong and they did us proud. I missed Sleepflower and Stay Beautiful but had Masses and Tsunami instead. There was also nothing from Lifeblood this time, We had a great view, as on the barrier with James bouncing in front of us. Maybe some of the crowd didn't bounce as much as we did but I can't not sing! bounce and do pointy stuff. Everyone I spoke to said how much they enjoyed it and were impressed how good the Manics are live. We know that though.

Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Sounds like it was a good evening. When you're squashed against the barrier I doubt that you would be able to bounce up and down even if you wanted to!

NO you can't, you can headbang a it and kind of bob up and down but no jumping cos you are generally held into position by those behind you. Even tho when i'm on the barrier i do lots of singing and pointy-shouty

Seems to be a mixed response coming from those who went last night, hopefully everyone enjoyed it though, and I'm sure the boys put on a top performance as always

Not to just rake over what has been said by others: There was a girl near me who I chatted to in the queue who was at her first Manics gig. She wasn't jumping around (as it's hard to on the barrier) but after the show she turned to me and said "that was an amazing set!". I think she was just mesmerised by James for the whole night!

We'd need to get some confirmation from Manic Steve Preacher's mate, but I'm pretty sure they didn't hang around. If you were with the crowd by the buses you were in the right place. Maybe they just had to get off quickly for some reason. Sorry you didn't get to meet them.

James voice sounded unbelievable and the whole band (Sean and Wayne included) were immense. My little girl was born two weeks ago and me and the mrs wet her head in style!

Yeah, agreed. (Congrats on your new arrival btw!)

Had a FAB night! I'm sure I spotted Bradfield's Love Child/Ben but didn't dare say hi in case he thought I was some random mentalist! Pretty sure I eyeballed Lindz too but couldn't recognise anyone else. I got quite close to the front and because I'm an old cow it was kinda nice not to be squashed!

The two BSP fans were highly amusing. Cracking night all in all for me, a real treat because I don't gig very often.

Oh, don't worry about that. I first met him at a gig when he walked up to me and asked if I was relic.
