Also an acoustic version of LBN was soundchecked ! I was really excited about that. They didn't play it at the gig though!

No chance of that being dropped now. It'll probably be some of the RTF songs that will most likely make way for newer material.

Yes, perhaps because of this it automatically made me think of fairground rides in general as well.

Other than that, the structure of these three new songs is as predictable as my moaning about it, sadly. Expected a bit more than the usual verse/chorus/solo from this 'krautrock' album. Not much, just a bit. No evidence of that so far. Still, only one of the three sounds like it has any chance of being playlisted on Radio 2, so at least there's that.

Probably. 30 Year War already has left the building.
Just like Love's Sweet Exile, Black Dog On My Shoulder and Faster.

We'll end up with Motorcycle Emptiness as an opening song in Brixton, followed by 2827 singles (and 3 new tracks )

Nope, only the first date. The setlist of the second night will be 98% the same...

It was probably written with Naysmith in mind.

I think futurology, the song, is utter shite. I've tried hard to listen to it and find something in it but it seems to be a set of lyrics that need a song.

Could the new rehearsed song be "In Between The Song And the Bed", where Green Gartside (Scritti Politti) features on the album.
