I can't get into this album at all, I like 2-3 songs from it and find the rest really quite dull, forgettable and just mediocre. I can't stand 'The Future Has Been Here 4 Ever' and 'Hazelton Avenue'. 'A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun' and 'Some Kind of Nothingness' are great though.
I'm hoping that the record will grow on me somewhat but I can't help but feel really disappointed with it

As for how it stands at the moment in comparison to the other albums:

1. Everything Must Go
2. The Holy Bible
3. Lifeblood
4. Journal For Plague Lovers
5. Generation Terrorists
6. Send Away The Tigers
7. Gold Against The Soul
8. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours
9. Postcards From A Young Man
10. Know Your Enemy

Second full listen, I still like it. Auto Intoxication was better for the first listen, ITIFI blows me away - brilliant tune!

Still enjoying it but would enjoy it more if they hadn't put out some of the songs already in live recordings and the like, JFPL's release was brilliant because there were only 2 songs we'd heard before.

Totally.

I Think I've Found It > Winterlovers.

Apart from Hazelton Avenue and I Think I've Found It this is a great album! The Future Has Been Here 4 Ever is the best track.

We are still waiting on this section, it's gonna be badass. But while you wait perhaps you would care to peruse the lyrics for 'Underdogs' and 'Your Love Is Not Enough', from the album 'Send Away The Tigers'.

Shame you missed the sig I had for 3 years, which was exactly that (just changed it about an hour ago, in fact!)

In order of amazing-ness (at time of writing)...

1. Some Kind of Nothingness (tears and goosebumps for table two please garcon)
2. Postcards from a Young Man (I need to see 'em playing this on the Brits whilst cannons fire gold glitter into the faces of a thousand indie landfill and r'n'b bratz (feat. rihanna obviously)).
3. Golden Platitudes (very TIMTTMY, love the ending & lyrics)
4. Future has been here 4 ever (Nick's stuff is just, so, odd - can he write the next LP pur-lease)
5. Auto-Intoxication (twisting schizophrenia, lower the medication and watch it burn)
6. Its Not War (*NEW ENTRY*, "Steps-a-like Romp in Forgiven Shocker")
7. Hazelton Ave (the riff sounds like "Song For Guy" by Elton John)
8. All We Make Is Entertainment (shoulda been the closer, triumphant sid vicious esque flip o' the bird as the credits roll and the House of Manic burns to the ground)
9. The Descent (good but I think I od'd on it and feel a bit syrupy now)
10. I Think I Found It (hated this but quite like it now, sorry Jamesy)
11. Don't Be Evil (shrugs shoulders, s'alright)
12. Billion Balconies (sounds like a Bside, chorus is ker-ap)

Overall; Me likey lotty, its just a damn shame its coming off the back of their greatest record as suffers unfairly by comparison.
