This article is making the claim, in the headline, that the 70-track album will be out next year. It's the same quote from Wire as in other articles but they've gone one step further - I'm sure it can't be true, had imagined it would take 2 or 3 years at least, but thought I'd post it for your good debate anyway. Most probably someone here will hold them to it.

I saw something along those lines on another website - claiming that is definitely the next album. But I want to see some more concrete evidence. Let's face it - Nicky says a lot of things in interviews that doesn't turn out the way he says

well, technically, it doesn't say that there will be 70 tracks on it, it could just be a very misleading album name.
or part 1 will be released next year, part 2 the year after, etc.

Please note that the last article linked to says the album will be called "70's songs of failure and hatred", NOT "70 Songs of Failure and Hatred." Therefore taking away the idea about the triple album. Still sounds like complete bullshit tho at the moment. Like most things with the manics, i will believe it when i see it.

There's been nothing said by Nicky to give journalists any reason to report that the next album will be out in 2011. Last I heard, he said they needed a break.
