Slightly more enticed by this concept than the last 2 albums. On the first handful of listens, the verses feel a bit odd. Normally this works, but it comes across a bit forced for some reason, can't say exactly why. The chorus/solo is pretty sweet though, and the production is really good. It's solid and does a job. I'll deffo give the album a listen when it comes out, maybe it will be a pleasant surprise.

It'll be interesting to hear how the demo sounds. The chord structure doesn't appear to be one written by Nicky. Out of the four songs I've heard so far, it sounds like the title track was written by the Wire.

Had no idea what to expect having heard nothing from this album yet but I really like it. They never fail to surprise me. Left me with a big smile on my face so it's aright with me.

killer chorus but i struggle with the verses. the structure would work better if the lyrics were stronger imo.
the indie disco line is diabolical. but the chorus is catchy and for that reason I think it'll work really well live.

Why are people taking umbrage with the Indie Disco line? it's a cool line, delivered nicely. I am more inclined to think "Curled like an animal lying on the floor" is a clunker.

Of course ideal for me would be them doing all the new songs along with a full set of oldies as well. End result; a bit longer setlist. No complaints there! Even tho can't really see that happening either.. Someone's feeling a bit pessimistic today!
