Hi everybody! I've seen your collections!! You are great! I could never reach you! I've just spent 200€ to collect every MSP single, some of them are not original relases but it's ok!!!
I've seen some of you has got the UK Channel Boredom... But is it only a vinyl? Or there also an official or semi-official cd relase? Thanks! Marco.

LTRFTP(oster) - Just a couple of pics for you: 1 - Some Suicide Alley's, a FIB and a UKCB 7 inch:  2 - New Art Riot 12 inchers (inc w-l promo and 'grey' coloured vinyl?! - don't ask?!) 'UK Channel Boredom' was released a 7" vinyl flexi-disc (one-sided) and was given away with 'Hopelessly Devoted' and 'Goldmining' fanzines in early 1990, for a charge of 50p! - If I can find my copy of 'Goldmining', I'll eventually put up a shot.
The disc was also available separately from the fanzine sellers - thus, it was never 'bootlegged' or 're-pressed' as widely speculated. 1000 copies are known to exist - although given the quality of the vinyl, some didn't even have grooves! The track was originally recorded at SBS but was re-recorded as 'Vision of Dead Desire' for the 'You Love Us' CD on Columbia in 1992.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if it is possible to find the UK Channel Boredom song in some of the semi-official cd bootlegs? I mean, i would like to find a definitive version of that song (in terms of quality). I'm not into vinyl... And i don't like the mp3's quality...!

Hi - I'm not sure. Bootleg CD's are not really my bag - If I were you I would stay with the MP3 version (widely available,) as either way, any recording of the song would have come directly from one of the vinyl flexi-discs which have a notoriously terrible audio quality because they are so cheap to press... Unless somebody, somewhere has the original studio copy?!...
It's a great track, but personally I think this is only because of the way that it came about! Last edited by Mr Shankly; 03-10-2006 at 12:45. Reason: spelling!
