Whilst growing up until he was 28 Nicky Wire dreamed of becoming a professional ice skater

I dont understand why they do it though? if it was 'Richey - From the Manics' I could understand but 'Richey Manic' makes no sense.

they seem to do it alot, the fratellis and the maccabees for example.

it seems like they write for a teenage audience that wouldn't understand or couldn't keep up if you didn't add the band name as a suffix to the end of their first names

Really? Oh well. When the teenagers of today become adults and they're interested in politics the newspapers will have to print articles like "Cameron conservative challenges Brown Labour's policy on public spending, whilst Nick BNP gets egged...again"
