so you can't be a fan of the Manics if you don't live in the UK? i am pretty sure that's not what you meant, but that was how it came across

us outside of the UK can order the singles (which Townsend even condescend to deliver to us eventually!) which counts towards the chart position, odd that so many bands deny legal sales (and subsequent, if albeit limited, bump up the charts) by not allowing non-UK purchases of downloads. ho hum.

Nahh, of course I didn't mean that, that'd be ridiculous. I guess downloads are just caught up in more of a legal wrangle, what with filesharing and all.

didn't think for a minute you did mean that, mate

you've hit the oddity on the head - if i was so inclined i would imagine a quick search would let me find the whole SKON package to download "gratis", yet here i am quite happy to pay for it but my money's just not good enough for Sony. go figure! ho hum, happy to wait for the single packge to arrive.

Is the album back in the top 100 then?

It will be, no idea where but if it's got about 6,000 sales so far this week then....hmmm, if it ended the week with that, what with sales up quite a lot for Christmas it'd probably re-enter the chart at about #70-ish?

Yep I've seen its No26. Little or no chance of a Top 40 come Sunday. Somebody Manics-related must die, or come back to life, before Sunday!!! Failing that Nicky must marry Jordan and / or Peter Andre immediately!

I think you're right, surely the greater portion of sales have already been made.

I, and I'm sure most others here, have bought it four sodding times so short of marching colleagues at gunpoint to HMV I think we may be relying on the Strictly audience. It would help if it was obviously positioned on itunes.

Why would you want to kill me? For shits and giggles? I don't know how you Canadian Ice Maidens get your kicks...

I actually haven't had the chance to buy the single yet. You think maybe I could ride to the rescue and save the day with my purchase? A worldwide, and potentially intergalactic, number 1 beckons!

I get my kicks below the waistline, sunshine.

And in very high heels, thank you.

I'm jaded.
