All VHS copies will have been chewed by Sean.

addendum: the bass that Wire is playing is a crime against aesthetics. Thanks for the scan though.

I really hope that the 'European' album doesn't end up getting vaulted as it'll make the more acoustic effort far more palatable to the likes of me, knowing that there's a record with a bit more oomph just around the corner.

I'm intrigued as to what the thinking behind the whole process might be actually. If the acoustic one is a copper bottomed hit, does that mean they milk that, er, musical teat for all it's worth and abandon the other one or maybe any success will make it more likely for the other one to get popped out to capitalise on it?

Alternatively, the album with the more traditional Manics 'energy' might largely be there for a back up rescue mission if the acoustic one dies on its arse.

I'm really looking forward to both potential albums now, it's got to be said, and think they should just wang them both out later this year for our aural pleasure.

Anyway, as you were...

I'm getting increasingly excited for all this - funny how it seems to creep up really suddenly after a long wait. The idea of JDB singing partly in German sounds very interesting. Right now the only German-language songs I have in my collection are the versions of tracks the Beatles recorded for the German market in 1964...

Thanks for the scan UEF! I agree with Nikolai, just release them both regardless. Intrigued to hear the half-English, half-German song now.

And '35 tracks in'...? I'm sticking with 12 on the acoustic album with about 5 b-sides

Damn right he is! They all are.

Thanks UEF! I'm dying at Sean's face peeking out from the corner aahahahaha.

I can just see Bradders' face when Wire gave him the lyrics. "You seriously want me to sing this DID YOU KNOW HALFWAY THROUGH THIS SONG IT DISSOLVES INTO FUCKING GERMAN"

I love to see the boys go in new directions, anyway, and I'm really excited for both albums.

Nicky singing in German is amusing, James could be promising!

They better not archive the second! D:
