I'm planning on taking about 6 non photo ID things anyway and overwhelm them so they go " yeah yeah ok"

I think venue staff just want to get people in as quickly as possible, and as long as they can say they’ve checked something they are happy! You will get in fine

And the setlist was? Did they open with 5 barnstormers in a row with no talking like they originally promised?

Glad to see the first night gig actually happened.

I'm gutted to give up going to UK this time due to border control restrictions. I just can't afford money and time for self-quarantine period both in UK and Japan. However, I decided not to get refund for my ticket, cos it's for charity, anyway. I'm happy if it might be of some help to NHS.

Hope everyone attending tonight gig will have wonderful time.
Be safe and enjoy yourselves!

I miss the days of realtime set updates and all the nonsense happening between, you'd think twitter would have filled that gap but it doesn't seem to. This place would have been buzzing at one time with a gig happening. But c'est la vie.

Anyway, i'm envious of people seeing them tonight. I have to say the screens filled with choice lyrics makes for a great backdrop i think.

Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America,
and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach.
And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

Nice to see Complicated Illusions in there. Bit weird having Tsunami so early in the set, I'm used to it being one of the last half dozen and I think it fits better there. I know Can't Take My Eyes Off You is a staple at Cardiff gigs, but three covers in a set feels excessive. Also having Robeson in-between Sweet Child and You Love Us feels like it would mess up the momentum.

But I wasn't there and I'm sure none of this would have bothered me if I was, and I'm sure I'll enjoy them all just fine tonight

I miss all that too. Back in the RTF/F/THB20 days you'd at least have Manicstreetmania or whoever tweeting the setlist live, which would eventually get relayed here. Not sure why tweeting the setlist seems to have vanished, though I know personally I'd rather be in the moment enjoying the gig than constantly rattling off messages on my phone.

YAY .. love watching him play that. It can stay in the set forever as far as I'm concerned

Fake news, surely. Unless they accidentally forgot to play You Stole the Sun.

Yeah, that set list is all out of order. Tsunami was late in the set. Complicated Illusions was much earlier. Don’t Let The Night Divide Us was second half too I think. You Love Us was just before No Surface All Feeling. And You Stole The Sun was indeed played!
