*sighs with relief!* Glad you gave it another chance after the initial disappointment of the first listen. I always have to give songs several listens before I can make a proper judgement on them. Regarding SKON, of the bit of it that I heard Mac sounds like he does on the Bunnymen's Siberia album so that is good for me!

Might be a bit late on this but INW - JTEOL is basically steps - stomp

Steps' Stomp is based on a 70's disco riff, It's Not War just happens to be based on a similar sounding 70's disco riff. I don't think they sound identical or anything.

I'd prefer the songs if they were more stripped down, without all the 'epicness'.

Yeah, they're similar but not identical. Like when James did a remix for Regular Fries and it sounded like the theme of that programme that used to be fronted by Angus Deayton (minds gone blank! sorry!)

I've not listened to it for a bit now. I listened to it about 6 times but have given up for now. I'm waiting until the album actually comes out so I can have a better quality version and hopefully enjoy it a bit more.

I think it's because people put them against each other, I have no reason to believe the similarity is intentional.

I'm listening through it for the first time - it's a fun, solid album.

Listened to it tonight finally after promising to wait. Its the album you would expect them to make if they are aiming for mass communication. Its shiny, poppy tunes that you know you will whistle along to. Me likey!!!!
