Can anyone explain to me what the hell these threads mean?
I've looked through them very briefly as they look boring as fuck, but am still none the wiser as to the point of them or what the hell the numbers in brackets and - + symbols represent.

It's just a game, they don't really mean anything. They start with all the tracks on 10 points, then each time you get a turn, which can be up to once a day, you just add 1 point (+) to the track you want to do well/like/whatever and take 1 point away (-) to the track you don't like or feel is less good than any of the others. When a track reaches 0, it is eliminated from the thread, until there is only one track remaining, which is the winner.

Personally I think they belong in another section of the forum because they're not really discussions, but I think it's better to play them so they pass quicker than just moan about them existing, which is really even more pointless. Also if you actually engage and play them they move away from feeling like 'those annoying threads clogging up the forum' and more like a harmless daily pastime.

That said, I hope they all finish soon and aren't re-spawned in this section of the forum any time soon.
