Ah I was surrounded by FDers and didn't realise! Yeah that guy was a bit erm, over-enthusiastic and misguided with his choice of songs to go mad for

Really enjoyed that last night, haven't seen the manics in ages. I liked the emg/titmt/postcards/rtf heavy set list it made a pleasant change! Loved the Everlasting performed acoustic, the nice surprise of Revol and the new songs went down well with me. Only thing I ask is they don't play Newport centre again it was too bloody small it was like wading through a mainly 'middle aged'(and at 33 I count myself nearly of their number) SCRUM!

Same here. Really like the song anyway, but live with Hawley it was superb.

Write a WORD.
Select that WORD.
Press the world-link icon above in the tool bar.
Paste the link.
Voilà!

PS. Not that I always do it anyway.

Let's hope they play a few more of the new songs at Shepherd's Bush, they could do with ousting some more of those setlist stalwarts and freshening things up.

I enjoyed the show a great deal largely because it's been a long time since the O2 gig and the hall at Newport is a great venue [although the same cannot be said of the building overall which isn't designed to cope with loads of people there at once].

That said, I wouldn't put it high on my list of Manics concerts. Apart from Rewind The Film which was truly awesome, the new material is, in my view, quite weak and doesn't come across well in a live setting. The rest of the set was terrific for the first time Manics concert goer but, with few exceptions, was an identikit 'best of' selection with all the usual suspects still there.
