The worst album the band have released.

This is not the kind of record the band should be releasing in the current political climate. The band should be louder and angrier not tired and defeatist.

If it wasn't for the loyalty I have for the band over many years, I would be donating my copy to the local charity shop. Instead it will go on my shelf and gather dust.

Can we just dampen down that enthusiasm a bit please?

I think I'd be doing the recipient a disservice if I gave it away.

The person would have to listen to it at least once.

I'd effectively be committing torture.

A solid 7. The LP sounds really really good, by the way.

Firstly, I'd say tired and defeatist is pretty appropriate for the political climate. Secondly, the manics have never been immediately relevant when it comes to politics, they usually write obscure lyrics about things that are past or introspective stuff, and lastly I don't think it is a tired record...people can produce a quiet acoustic album without being tired. They are never going to write a good generation terrorists again.

Plus, those (Not on here, but on You Tube) saying how they are waiting for the next rockier record... is this the same rockier record the band have said in interviews doesn't sound anything like them?
So two very different Manics albums before they go back to guitars and strings.
That'll do! Where do I sign for that?

FD: It's the You Tube you can reason with where you don't get racial crap thrown at you...
