Poor old Sophie, maybe they've fallen out.

Nicky obviously wasn't impressed enough with John Cale either, not inviting him to do whatever it was he was supposed to have done on the record at the fantasy gig.

Yeah, I wondered about that. Heard rumours about it for ages but he's not credited, guess this is as close as a confirmation as we're gonna get.

I heard about that before. it's still hard to me to live with the fact that Kevin Shields plays on one of my favourite KYE songs. it's rubbish isn't it?

Kevin Shields is brilliant! Dunno how different Freedom Of Speech would've been without him, but it's brilliant too.

Shields' involvement was frequently mentioned by the band in interviews at the time, with Nick stating that he was brought in by David Holmes and played a 'very melodic' guitar part.
