What do you think they do after a tour? What do their lives look like the day after it ends? Do they walk through the front door, keys on the table, open the bills, kids have gone to a friends can you pick them up at 5, the lock on the toilet doors broken again can you fix it? I wonder what it’s like for any musician when they get home.

Manics should do a duet with Sabine Hossenfelder. Period.

Manics in London followed by possibly the best bank holiday weather I can remember. Not a bad 4 days at all.

Any musician with kids, yes, I imagine that's exactly what it's like The band all seem to have quite regular family lives now. Boring life admin finds all of us in the end, even the rich and famous.

I do feel a bit flat now the tour is over. The physical exhaustion has faded (probably the most well-timed Bank Holiday ever yesterday), but I still feel quite mentally tired and like I can't really be arsed to do anything, which wasn't the greatest mood to be in this morning when work resumed.

Just found the 20th anniversary GT 12" set in HMV. Very surprised as I thought this was long out of print. Didn't have it so I bought it for 20.99. Quite a selection of Manics in the vinyl section actually, Truth, RIF (black), THB and EMY boxset (over £70!!)

Some songs invoke images and scenes in my head, creating my own imaginary music videos.

A Soundtrack to Complete Withdrawal is one of those songs, and here is what I see.

Powder of white stone fluctuating into realistic statues of desperate naked humans, only to elegantly fall down into pieces. One by one statue, various kinds of people in various kinds of poses of desperation and exhaustion.

Funny, such an imagery would lyrically fit People Give In better, but it's this Withdrawal song that builds up such images for no particular reason.

I live in Camden and earlier today I saw someone walking through town wearing a RIF shirt which surprised me...obviously lots of band shirts around here but I've never seen a Manics one before!
