I think i'll buy SATT and Lifeblood, mainly because it would be good to have all those bsides on one disc (such as the ones originally on vinyl) plus it would be great to hear that nme o2 set that's on the end of the SATT bonus disc.

From reading the previous few pages, has anyone else had any problems with being charged extra customs handling fees etc?

It would be great if a proper uk remastered 3 disc set of GT came out, with the second cd containing b-side, demos and the Stars N Strips US GT mix. The dvd could have live/tv footage.

i've bought gt and gats from yesasia. because i bought them together it was free shipping and it worked out slightly cheaper than even the cheapest option on cdjapan. and theres no chance of customs charges on stuff from yesasia apparently

sounds good tucka, might get the two albums from yesasia then. there cant be anything worse than waiting ages for cds to arrive then be told you need to pay an extra £14 extra customs charges.

Have you recieved them yet tucka?

thats pretty good, just under forty quid for two. if i ever saw them in an indiependent record shop i'd expect to pay £20 each.

It's funny, the Oasis releases that came out in 2006 are now rare and expensive to get hold of. The David Bowie ones not that expensive and easy to find, but the Bruce Springsteen ones released in 2007 are dirty cheap and even my local Asda (!) are even selling them at £4 each!

I'm certain the Everything Live is just a basic transfer. I saw the film on my virgin cable demand the other month, and it wasnt much different, mainly due i think to the fact it looked/sounded amazing for a VHS at the time.

Can those who have GT and GATS tell us if you notice a difference with the remastering?

I cant see there being much of an improvement from TIMT onwards. I think if i remember rightly TIMT was one of the first albums to use ProTools at the start of 98.

Just noticed on cdjapan that it say "Japan exclusive reissue" under its listing for the Everything Live DVD. Looks like UK release is out of the question then

Purely out of interest, why does the Japanese market get all of these special editions, etc?

1) Music costs more for whatever tax/commercial reasons in China. So they put extra tracks out to make people buy proper Japanese releases

2) In the case of the re-releases, Japenese people are mental. You can flog them any old tat and they'll buy it in their droves.
