It's not shite, but sadly, it's not the diametric opposite of shite either.
I'm just praying that the record-buying public likes it. |

It's great, being the first day of hearing it i'm not going to go above my station and say it's their best though. At the moment it is one of the best songs i've heard all year, i will say that much. I should hate it as it sounds like the sort of thing Bon Jovi could record, but the Manics just add that oomph to make it acceptable to my ears.

I didn't think JFPL was their best album in years, hell no.

Really love it.Catchy chorus, and great melodies.Sounds very 70s to me.Manics have always been good at the sing along anthemic songs.Well done boys.

I can see why some would be disappointed in it after JFPL, seeing as that was a return to such a raw sound (and indeed, a return to form, many would say), but unlike SATT (which I do like as an album, but felt sounded a bit contrived in places) it doesn't feel forced. It sounds like a band enjoying themselves, creating a lovely melody. Well done to them; I'll be singing this all night now.

Right I tried to stay away from passing judgement earlier on. I might have leaned towards positive and after a few listens I'm still there...more so.
As poppy and commercial and grand as I was expecting, really catchy. Seeing as SATT is what brought me to this great band I'll always dig their pop stuff and I'm liking it
