I agree that James should have been given more time to get 100% rest.

I agree, but I think it would cost so much to reschedule gigs on the other side of the world that it was probably worth soldiering on there and risking the Hard Rock, Blackwood and rescheduled shows which could be done anytime really.

I think it's better Aus and Japanese fans got to see them, than just a competition gig, to be honest.

Poor poorly Bradders. The recycled air on all those recent long-haul flights will have done his already troubled larynx no good.

The roads in and around London are chaos today anyway, so might be a blessing in disguise for some of you who'd have been travelling up/down to this.

My experience of living in London is that Londoners use the word "chaos" very, very loosely.

I'd like to think you're being sarcastic.

I'm sure it's the long flight/plane germs/jet lag combo that have done him in. He seemed perfectly well while he was away. I did think it was a tad ambitious to schedule gigs within a couple of days of a long haul flight - chances are one of them would come down with something.

Last time he had laryngitis it only took him a few days to get over it so I'd say there's still a good chance he'll be fine for the telly on the weekend.

Already in London so had a drink at HRC, then joined a passing protest in search of kettling and shouted a bit. Improvised fun on a budget, that's what we're good at now. My feet hurt though, we walked about four or five miles.

It was gonna be a 3 piece gig and their stage time was quite short.

In retrospect I am absolutely gutted about the free bar and food. Free bar, damn it! Hard Rock Cafe is a gorgeous little venue though, never been there before.
