11 studio albums, over 23 years, covering the band over varying styles and chapters in their lives and career, and all some people want to hear is 2 albums! Priceless!

Big thanks to relic and Franny too.

For everyone complaining about a song, there's someone else loving it. I think it's fine to express both.

All I'd like to see is SOMETHING from JFPL included and maybe a few songs swapped with others. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with the set list. I've made a separate thread for people to moan in now.

Glad you all had a great time! I'm happy with the setlists so far even though I can't make this tour! *violins*

There's nothing average about this band. There's no other band around who can have a 20 odd yr career doing what they've done then go and release an album so far out of their comfort zone as RTF and still do it so brilliantly. You're right that not every album hits the mark (SATT springs to mind) but it's unrealistic to expect THB or JFPL every time. As fans, you've got to take some rough with smooth and for me there's been far more smooth than rough. I'd much rather see this set list than anything else by any other band around at present. If you're not happy, go and listen to something else.

Legends.

Rant over.

Well said (even though I like SATT)!

Many Manics fans do not visit or post here. They expect a evening out and good music, which the Manics deliver. Songs from the past to the present to in this case, something new.

Maybe one day, the band can take over a London theatre for a few days to play The Holy Bible - a limited run of sorts.

I turned round during Love's Sweet Exile. The crowd *really* loved Love's Sweet Exile <sarcasm>

Also, based on tonight's Archives of Pain, which was nowhere near as good as it was in 2005, I don't think I really want a Holy Bible tour. I'd like to see one, but not the one I expect we'd get from the band now.

I still would have been pleased if I paid the money to see those songs in the setlist performed.

But I'd feel funny if I was seeing them more than once. Bearing in mind I won't be seeing them on this tour so argument invalid!

I'm glad the people who went were really into it, even if they aren't members of this forum.

This was a fantastic night. Acoustic From Despair sounded ever so slightly amazing. I'm really curious to see what James pulls out of the bag at the next few gigs!

Support from Wolf Alice was a big step up from Leeds. Crowd seemed to enjoy it. I think I did too, but to be honest she's so insanely damn adorable that I sort of forgot to listen to the actual music.

Evening slightly marred by Nicky being obviously very unhappy (I assumed his knees, but tour staff later told us he is unwell). Slight marring redeemed by Nicky wardrobe malfunction.

I have slightly injured myself going batshit insane to Europa Geht Durch Mich. It is the best thing in the history of ever.

Proper report tomorrow when I've recovered.
