It is the richeyest of richey songs no doubt. It is still a bit too near the knuckle though. I love it regardless. It's a great single.

Yeah that's what I meant... It just made me smile so much when the synths kicked it. Ridiculous but great.. I'm so surprised at how much I like it.
I think it's a deliberate turn on the kinda 'Richey' songs. Like before they've tended to be clouded in metaphor or cushioned in someway. This is perhaps the most honest they've been

Forget the HB gigs guys, just do full Futurology gigs, you are definitely on something right now.
Yes. Best thing you've said all year, Sandrine!

They did it with JFPL And those were the best gigs ever.

I wouldn't moan so much if they did an album gig + some hits ala JFPL gigs.

Methinks it is no longer the Manics way! I would love to hear JFPL tracks live, since I couldn't at the time. I am genuinely so bitter about that.

I only managed to soldier through 0.5 gigs out of 3 I was supposed to go due to horrible, awful man flu But yeah, JFPL songs would be much welcomed for the next tour.

They definitely won't do a full album gig for a new album again, it's just wishful thinking

Oh god yeah, why not. The Manics are thought of as a gloomy/miserable/ serious band and this is just so bloody upbeat and happy. I love it.
(think its a hell of a lot better than anything they did in an attempt at mass communication, reckon this will communicate a lot better with people than postcards ever did

They execute their mass communication strategy more effectively when they don't try...

The band appear to have gone from mass communication to no communication at all in the space of 4 years!

Awful promotion by the company though. No video, no itunes sales, etc.

Cost or corner cutting exercise? No promo budget perhaps?

There's definitely a vid but where is it? Where's the airplay? Absolutely no word from the band regarding a single - even on tour they were very quiet about mentioning the first single.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the marketing company may have leaked the track themselves.

I think they just changed the release date, and that one site didn't get the memo. They removed the track in the meantime.

Totally agree, seems very odd though considering the video's been done and mentioned already. Do you think its a financial thing or a cock-up?
