lol, yeah, I don't think that is not what he didn't mean. Nice review though.

The video is fantastic, could watch it for hours great to have them back
Thanks for that! Totally agree, song and video are genius, and now that I understand the lyrics (should this translation be trustworthy, the placename-translation leaves a bit to be desired!), I find this way more appealing to a non-Welsh non-football fan such as myself. Especially after having heard James say in the BBC documentary that all he cares about is "that Welsh people like the song". I don't know who the Furries "community" are, but at least they are not EXPLICITLY excluding me from the party.

That awkward moment when you're a Spurs and England fan and you catch yourself singing "So come on Ramsey... lets set the world alight!"

Will this get any kind of radio or video play anywhere to people are aware of it, or will it end up being just Manics fans who know of it existing and buying it?

Not sure about radio coverage, but in Newport, it's all over twitter, local newspapers etc, and without a doubt people are aware of it

The lyrics don't scan very well

Also the intro sounds like The Darkness

Very much one for the SATT-PFAYM sound

Hopefully not, it might encourage Nicky to write PFAYM Mk. 2...

I think its quite a good song, quite like the chorus. Too much commentary though, would rather hear the music. Thought I would be receiving the CD today however I just noticed it's actually out next month!

Would of been nice to hear their new version of Cant Take Your Eyes Off You that they were recording originally. They could of put it on the CD as a instrumental or used the original lyrics. Shame to waste the recording.

I was thinking that, too! It would probably have upped CD sales, too, if it had been a B-side - and singles sales in general if they'd made it download only. With vocals in any case. It might have stolen the thunder from Together Stronger, though, as it is already established as a Welsh-football-anthem unofficially - maybe that's why they decided against it?

It is irredeemably naff like every other football "anthem" single released before it.

The music is good though, props to JDB for that. There's probably a good "mainstream" Manics song in there, had it not been this.

They weren't given permission to use the song so I assume that includes the instrumental. ?

They weren't given permission to change the lyrics, I believe they still could of released a cover.

Ah.. they've done that before tho.. probably no point including it if they couldn't add the lyrics... it won't have affected sales.. who'd care ?

Have had a busy couple of days so have just heard this. It's got a perfect singalong chorus, but the rest of the lyrics sound like Nicky delegated the task to his little boy, perhaps with the aid of a Panini sticker album for the names...

That chorus though...man alive it's huuuuge. Gigantic chorus. Then the drums go into hyperdrive during the last one and it's kinda-like great.
