Yeah, it was absolutely rammed! We tried to get down onto the floor twice and couldn’t get more than a couple of metres in. Ended up on the raised platform at the back by the bar. It was actually not to bad; I had a great view of the band but couldn’t see any visuals on the screen (genuinely don’t know if there were any!).

I couldn’t get past the set of stairs and even though there was nowhere to go people constantly trying to push into non existent gaps. Felt bad for some smaller ladies who had stand on the steps in the end just to see.

Do they often play holy Bible songs as a three-piece? I’ve never really thought about it before but assumed that the other guys were always involved unless they were doing the whole album shows.

Those 2x 3 piece songs sound great though. I love hearing just the three of them and how big it always sounds regardless.

Not that I can remember (although Holy Bible songs have been a bit rare in recent years).

She is Suffering live previously has had keyboard effects over the top of James guitar so they've definitely had some backing.

Never used to, think they only did it for the album shows in 2009 and 2014/15. But it was only last year that they reintroduced HB songs since they toured it, plus Journal songs have hardly been played at all since the album tour.

Emily Oakhill triumphs again! James's acoustic spot from last night, can you see or hear yourself who we're there?

Long time lurker, second time poster. Going to my 22nd Manics gig tonight. Thought it might be nice to finally make a Manics gig friend. Will be wearing a green Holy Bible cross t-shirt (and probably green from head to toe) if anyone wants to say hi.

The next album should be a three piece album. Doesn’t need to be Holy Bible or Journal type songs. Just as a three piece. There you go Wire - a Japan or Berlin three piece album. There is your concept.

Gits. The one song I really wanted to see live from the new album.
