Whatever they do, there's always someone on here moaning about it, so I'm sure they're used to it by now

Meh, I'm not really bothered either way. I just hope as many people as get tickets as possible rather than touts, that's what really matters.

Whilst I'd have somewhere to stay in Glasgow, I cannot make this gig, thanks to looming redundancy.

I just reckon it's a bit greedy if you can go to four nights in London without serious travel and accommodation expense, but still insist on coming up here, where they've only played one gig on the last couple of tours, and snaffling up all the tickets for a gig to celebrate the 20th birthday of a venue you couldn't really give a fuck about.

but all that good effort on the blackstar thread to show we're all rather nice really will have gone to waste

I'm fine with people outwith (shibboleth) Scotland buying tickets next Wednesday, as long as;

a) I get one as well.
b) Anyone who buys a ticket and finds they can't make it returns it to the venue, or whatever you do, and doesn't whack it on eBay. Although chance would be a fine thing.

Tickets for the King Tuts' Paolo Nutini gig, which is also part of the birthday celebrations, are being punted for £400 by touts. I think it's inevitable that a large number of the briefs for the Manics gig will end up in the hands of these cunts.

Snaffling up tickets? They've only played where I live a handful of times in the last 10 years, should I have had priority on tickets the last time they played here?

Seriously. Get over it.

That only is any use if they let you return tickets too...as what if you want to pass it on to a friend if you find you can't go?

Well you don't need to be a Scottish resident to appreciate the venue and I'm quite sure plenty of non-Scottish people have been to King Tut's before, so who is to say who does or doesn't give a fuck about it?

It's inevitable people will miss out when there are so few tickets available in the first place...arguing about who 'deserves' the tickets more is pretty pointless, unless of course it comes to touting, in which case, they blatantly don't deserve the tickets.
