This all looks very promising, if there's potentially 17 dates then I hope that means a south coaster - Soton is preferable, but B'mouth, Pompey and Brighton are all equally welcome!

I don't think the title has been decided, from Wire talking at Laugharne it was said the original title (which I'm guessing is the one you are refering to) wasn't working so there was another forerunner but it was still up for debate. Mind you the way the manics operate it may re-surface somewhere else someday, I quite liked it personally.

Didn't JFPL just drop last year? Could have sworn that I read somewhere quite recently that they were planning on a spring 2011 release.
Not sure where the spring release came from, don't think I've read that. Certainly after the US tour talk was of being back in about a year, and again at Laugharne Wire was suggesting after if things go to plan finishing the album mid/late September with the tour to follow.

Again, not sure where the 17 comes from I get the impression it may be a fair bit longer so there should be pretty broad coverage, mind you if they still plan to play places they haven't for a while that could shake things up a bit.

In that final Teletext interview he did he said the album was likely to come out early next year.

I remember reading the same interview, as they originally wanted a quick turnaround with the new album out this year I believe, but then they decided to wait...not sure why. Either way, a tour would be excellent, even if it only previews a few new tracks.

If the album comes out in late 2010 then maybe they won't make it over here until sometime in 2011, though.

Sorry I meant back as in doing stuff rather than back in the US specifically, I think they mentioned at quite a lot of the dates they'd like to go back in 2011

My sentiments exactly...

Best not to get too excited yet, eh? I won't believe anything until it's officially announced, and not just a random string of mythical dates/venues plucked out of someone's arse.

Would LOVE some real news though. The thought of a tour is brilliant but news would be better.

The longer you go without news, the closer you are to it and the more likely it is to be significant. ^_^

I've just booked tickets to take my neice to see Dr Who Live at the MEN on 22nd Oct. What's the betting that there'll be a Manics gig near me on that night?

I'm organising a conference on the 22nd of October and I'm getting increasingly paranoid about it!
