Was just thinking that myself! I had a feeling it was going to recur. My mum couldn't believe they were off to Austrailia and Japan! It was good they got their gigs though, happy about that. January is not great for getting time off work though if Birmingham gets rescheduled again!

I was ok with the cancelation up until free bar was mentioned After a mad day at work and snow stress I was glad I didn't have to rush to get there in the end to be honest and very much looking forward to it in January (if it is then). At least now I can prepare for the free bar Sipping a vodka and coke in traning right now.

In retrospect I am absolutely gutted about the free bar and food. Free bar, damn it! Hard Rock Cafe is a gorgeous little venue though, never been there before.
Aye, but I'm guessing even the Wire isn't immune from the effects of air travel

Let's face it. Wire wakes up feeling jetlagged. Saw the snow. Calls up Hard Rock Cafe and announces the gig is to be called off because James is ill, again. He returns to his week lond hibernation where he doesn't have to leave the house. A few hours later a jetlagged James wakes up to prepare for the gig only to hear it's off, it's his fault and oddly Wire's phone is off the hook...

Ahaha, I actually did laugh out loud at that.

And, I fear, you have a point! I suspect it may be a little more to do with heavy snow and jetlag than the laryngitis. All day, as I was watching the snow fall, I knew I was going to come home to find the concert postponed and I was right.

More to the point, Sean probably put the idea in Wire's head.
