I'm confused....so...the download on Itunes DOESN'T count as a single sale? How on earth does that work then?!? What do the sales of it count as then, another version of SKON in he charts? Weird.

James looks like he's waiting for a bus in that video. Surely they could slip £50 to some starving Artists in Cardiff to come up with something better. Y'know like Morph or something..but with added glitter.

Definitely prefer the web video to the official one, but I wish Nicky and Patrick would learn to edit things so they are properly in synch with the song... unless of course its just the way the video streams that is causing the issue - it was the same for the Postcards from a Young Man vid.
Also, what are the official chart eligibility rules these days? Why is the EP not counted towards the single sales? I seem to remember finding out years ago that sales only count from certain retailers and in the past is was only a sample of sales that were then extrapolated to presume total sales across the whole country (although I could be going back 30 odd years there!). Is that still the case? Do all online stores count (including the shop on the official Manics site)? Do orders that are made before the official release date count? Are the physical sales of the CD in all shops counted or is it HMV only, (seen as they are the only mainstream music store still in existence thanks to the recession)? Do independent record shop sales count too? We need to know... I could be that a lot of fans have been buying their singles from somewhere that doesn't even count towards the official chart! I know chart positions aren't the be all and end all, but the record company will be keeping an eye on them and low "official" sales could affect future releases. Cheers Steve B
