Agree.

If that's what we're getting in the UK too then it's not really worth it.

Hopefully we'll get some demos and other goodies. Not sure what leftover material they have after the 10th anniversary edition.

Depending on the remastering (and they're hardly audiophiles), if you had to choose one, I'd say the 10th anniversary edition is the better of the two.

Still no Pennyroyal Tea.

I assume the Astoria recording is the one from the 20th with the cleaned up sound. It was on the radio a while back, though missing a few tracks.

I don't want to be a negative nancy because I'm ecstatic about the tour, but this doesn't sound like anything special. Extra Revol is interesting though. Might get it eventually.

Really not worth the purchase for me. I already have 3 versions of THB.

I do like the sound of the 40 page booklet with handwritten lyrics. Think I will still buy it. Would have liked more artwork/poster type stuff rather than 3 versions of album!

Eh I'll get it anyway. Suppose with there having already been a 10th anniversary edition they were bound to be repeating a big chunk of that for the 20th anniversary. I'm hoping if there is a 6th disc it'll be like the 3rd disc in the Generation Terrorists box, couple of tracks unheard of until then, works in progress etc.

It'll be nice to have a black vinyl and the live stuff. Bit nitpicky I know, but there's a live version of Life Becoming A Landslide from Bangkok on the Revol 10" that's escaped this too, think they could've stuck that on there. Mind you, they never stuck the Stay Beautiful at Marquee from the Love's Sweet Exile 12" on the Generation Terrorists reissue.. Heh, gods I'm becoming a parody of moaning Manics fans. I'm still gonna get it anyway, but looking at that listing I'm more interested in the packaging and sleeve notes.

Ah well, this will save me some money. Was really hoping for some more demos, radio sessions etc. Including the Heavenly You Love Us almost seems lazy.

This is a bit disappointing demos and unheard stuff would have been nice. Depends on hom much it is I might get around to it eventually - if it isn't too limited edition. I haven't bought lots of different editions of THB over the years thankfully, so might be worth it...

But yeah, no Pennyroyal Tea? FFS.

If the 10th anniversary Holy Bible and the 20th anniversary Generation Terrorists hadn't happened I'd have been quite happy with this. I do find demos interesting, and knowing how they managed to pull together almost all of the Generation Terrorists ones and a few others for that reissue, and having had the last four albums come with a full set of demos too... I mean, I presume they've got them, would love to hear them.

It all hinges on the price.

It's a bit of a shame really, as if this sells by the boatload you'd wonder if they'll be more likely to revisit some of the other albums coming up for anniversaries which might yield a little more of interest. Anyone know about sales figures for the 10th THB and EMGs? I'd guess the THB one sold well enough to justify the EMG which possibly didn't do enough to persuade anyone to do a Truth anniversary?

The 4 disc edition of GT was exclusive to the official store only so maybe there will be something similar for THB.

No idea if any demos really exist for THB sessions. James said recently that the songs were formed acoustically with only a couple of takes in the studio in Cardiff. I think Faster was a tricky beast and James struggled with it multiple times. I am dissapointed at this release for its content with the different version of "Revol" only being a true rarity here. Maybe the lyric book will show alternative lyrics but still is it truly worth it? I get the love THB recieves from fans and critics but this is now the 2nd anniversary edition we've gotten when other albums have not got this treatment. TIMTTMY is well overdue a remastered edition as is GATS. I don't think it's going to warrent the price tag here which is a shame. However if they don't have anything new to add to it due to the fact there is none then the band can't be blamed for that.

Gold Against the Soul would benefit from a tinker, but Truth? It's a perfect sounding album, I don't see any need to remaster that one.

I'd love just a vinyl and a lyric book or photo book or something, maybe re-releases of the 10" singles. Rehashing the 10th seems pointless and a bit like cashing in if it's expensive.
