Sounds like a great gig to me!

I'm feeling like crap right now, coming down with a cold, but I'm gonna be there in Manchester if it kills me now.

Best moment of the gig: the only person noticing the intro to 1985.

Dreaming a City live was epic.
Nicky couldn't keep the smile off his face during Donkeys.

Is it wrong that I am fairly disappointed with the second half? Although I really shouldn't say that given how exciting the first half is.

Starting the 2nd set with ME, and ending it with A Design for Life and You Love Us... I thought they might try something a bit different really. These shows are meant to focus on their most intense album and I'd have preferred a more adventurous selection of songs.

ME has been early in the sets for the last decade. Itsw better towards the end of the set, much more euphoric and more deserved.

They came on very dark and moody, especially James. Then at the end, the bastard couldn't keep the smile off his face. I think both sets were very well received, and I think it showed in the bands reaction in the second half.

Dreaming a City being played live, absolutely off my tits amazing. The killer song for me of the night was Mausoleum, it's class live although Ifwhiteamericaknewthetruthforonedayitsworldwouldfa llapart was beautiful in it's slagging off of Thatcher. Pity "Ding dong the witch is dead" didn't get sung through.

Now I'm sat in the hotel trying to watch Have I Got News For You, and trying to not turn the sound up too loud to drown out the ringing in my ears. I absoutely loved the gig, and I love the band. Amazing.

That was brilliant. The Intense Humming of Evil was one of the most ominous performances of a song I've ever witnessed.

Also, great hearing a crowd shout every word of that album.
