It's catchy. I feel like I shouldn't like it, it's a bit cringey but I do. Course it'll be dated in no time at all, like any other football song. Keep getting the chorus and the "Hal Robson-Kanu" bit stuck in my head. Still, in Chester it's nice to have a former Hull City player mentioned.

Had another bash at it last night. Not as cringey as I first thought. I think if it was played all summer it'd certainly grow on me.

Though Bing Bong by SFA, has been running through my head this morning.

I wish there was an instrumental version available.

Where does everyone expect this to chart, if at all? The last few Manics singles didn't make the top 100 even though someone keeps updating the Wikipedia page claiming WMTTB got to 82.

Eh, it's not bad. Kinda cool they do this sort of thing. I'm not a big soccer guy, but do people do this sort of thing a lot? Like write songs for their teams?

Not too often actualy, mainy when the World Cup or Euro tournament thingy is coming up. Most of them are crap and forgetable but a few stick like the ones by New Order and Lightning Seeds.

Solid piece of PFAYM-anthemics. Cringy sports lyrics but it's nice and cheesy in a good way. The middle bit with the handclaps and player names is brilliant in all its silliness.

Nowhere near Adam & Joe's Footie Song as the greatest sports anthem ever written, but it's fun. Now where's my overpriced CD single??

I really like this!

It's so much more solid than anything off PFAYM, don't know why people are comparing it to that bar the strings. JDBs vocals are possibly the strongest they've been in a long time, it really sounds like he's shouting his heart out which hasn't happened in a while. Ok the lyrics are clunky, but it's a football song it's not going to contain lyrical genius.

Could've done without the commentary, wish there was a version without it.

Hope they play it at Swansea.

Don't worry, the CD isn't due to be released until June 3rd.

Why is the CD released in June? But you can get the download now? I thought they'd want to try and get as high a single position as possible so release them together? Oh well.
