I think we need to start a salacious rumour about Phil, put people off buying his album (although the music on it should have been enough already)

It's very high in a lot of places overall - top 3 is a certain, surely. Come on #1 for the Manics! Yay! I'll celebrate if they do it!

A bit of promotion and airplay would help! I would have no idea the album existed if it wasn't for the forum!

Although I was impressed going into my local recordstore yesterday and finding they had a whole big stack of them - so Sony must have been expecting someone to buy it

Don't be silly! If it missed the top 40, then it might be cool to like it.

Those who have been in and bought it from HMV - how much were they selling the normal and deluxe version? My mate is thinking of getting a copy and I'm not up for sharing mine. Cheers

Not being silly. Just seemed like it was growing in popularity since the early chart position was mentioned that's all.

Ah, fair enough. Manics fans don't like "mass communication" though, they like "culture, alienation, boredom and despair".

The regular's editions 9,99. Can't remember the deluxe version - I only passed by HMV on my way to buy it elsewhere and saw the stand through the doorway.
