Zee, I'd be shocked to find my CDs in my mailbox today. Maybe by Friday, at the earliest.

Weird, I received my singles bundle last week; but I've yet to receive my 2CD and vinyl as it seems they've already made it to people on the west coast of N. America. Maybe it's because I ordered the vinyl and the packaging is different? Perhaps it has to come on the mail truck, rather then just my postman delivering it. Hmmm...

I'm going with I Think I Found It. It's on the album cover so that trumps anything else.

I should also add I'm very impressed with the 2CD book edition. I bitched about the Mementos Box (and rightfully so at that price) but the deluxe edition is just spot on. Nice clippings from Nicky's scrapbook (and lots of them!) and the second disc. That's how you do a reasonable special edition of an album.

Watching that Ch4 documentary, this album seems like such a celebratory experience for them. They've got a second run at success and chose to indulge themselves despite the several years they supposedly spent trying to "destroy themselves". Odd...

Until the next album, when they'll probably turn their backs on this one

Well yes that is a common theme with some of them but I think James laid out a much clearer picture. The albums they're most happiest with are Holy Bible, Everything Must Go, Send Away the Tigers and Journal for Plague Lovers. The parallels between this album and This is My Truth are quite stark I think.

Ooooh! Will Forever Delayed go on to beat Postcards? Whats wrong with the band wanting to create a really happy (for them anyway! ) record and to want to be celebratory about it? Postcards is like the polar opposite to Truth, being as it is quite upbeat.

A little disappointed with the album.
I expected more Hard rock stuff with Slash inspired guitars (Yes I love SATT... and The Who, Aerosmith, Thunder's L.A.M.F., Dead Boys, Mick Ronson... rock n' roll) and not the indie pop approach on this.
Good part: Sometimes I get a nice 70's glam vibe a la The Sweet, Slade, Bowie, Mott the Hoople, early Queen, and it's the best thing in the album.
Also love most of the lyrics and the sad beauty of SKON.

Not sure yet. Hopefully hanging onto #1 spot.
FD is climbing up on Amazong download still, up to #16 now. Interesting.

Indeed, FD is up to #16 on Itunes aswell, with Collins languishing at #35.

Selling well on Itunes then, eh. How much of a percentage do download sales take up then of overall sales? Might see FD back in the top 75 at this rate!
My brother has heard the new album now and likes it overall. He said in an email just now: manics songs are too pleasing for the ear - if sean tried singing they may get a platinum selling album!!! yeahhhhhhhh best idea ever.
Sean singing lead vocals would be nice to hear one time.
